Welcome to the 2007-2008 school year. I am looking forward to many wonderful experiences this year.

This years grading procedure will be 1/3 daily grades and 2/3 major grades. Daily grades will include

homework, classwork, and quizzes while major grades will be made up of tests and projects.

I will try to have at least 10 daily and 3-4 test grades each 9 week grading period.. Students

will be given chances to earn bonus points or bring tests grades up at certain times during the grading period.

Assignments not turned in on time will result in a 30 % deduction from their grade.

Assignments more than two class days late will be considered a zero. Students will be responsible

for getting their make-up work when they are absent. Students will be asked to follow all rules set forth in

the school discipline plan. This year all math students are being asked to provide their own graphing calculator.

Any TI-82 or newer model will be acceptable. As a final thought, our new Algebra I book has a

website that that will provide help outside the classroom. The homework link is: www.go.hrw.com/A2/TX
