Mrs. Ferrill's Kindergarten

OCTOBER

We are continuing to work on classroom and schoolwide rules. The students are also working really hard and all seem eager to learn. If your child is bringing a reading bag and log home, please read with them nightly, sign log, and return the next day. After reading please take time to discuss the book with your child. Ask them what was the setting, who were characters in the story, what was the problem, how was it solved etc. I know they will be able to answer these for you. Also, they could ask you questions. This will help to build comprehension and learn to look and listen for these story elements while reading. If your child is not bringing home a book bag at this time, please do not be concerned. I will send books home when I feel they are ready. It won't be long I know!
