Unit 1 Week 5
Vocabulary words and meanings include: compassion (showing mercy and caring
for one another), competition (a contest between two individuals),
determination (to have a firm mind set that never gives up), legend (a
person well-known for acts of greatness), locomotive (a train engine),
fiction (a story that is not true), sequence (to arrange events or
steps in the correct order), tool (an instrument or object used to do a
task), twister (a tornado), and healthy (something that is good
for you).
Homework is important because it reinforces
skills taught in class. It helps students develop good study habits and become
more
responsible
for their learning.
