TREATS FOR TROOPS!

What a great success! We mailed 8 packages to our military friends. We were also surprised by a visit from our friend, Staff Sgt. Chris Shelton who was home for 2 weeks but has returned to duty.

A Great Time

Our field trip to Hollywood theatre to see Horton Hears a Who was a great success. Whoville is a wonderful place with lots of great lessons!

And

To our May birthdays' Jackson, Aidan and Hendrik!

Kindergarten Graduation for our class if Friday, May 16, in our school gym.

This is a very important event for our children and one on which we work very hard.

Please be aware that everyone is expected to dress nicely for this event.

Boys wear slacks and dress shirts and girls wear nice dresses and shoes. No flip-flops or hats are allowed. Please keep heels very low as the children will dance and walk up stairs.

SUCCESS IN KINDERGARTEN

Encourage your child to tell you a story

Review letter names and sounds daily.

Practice counting to 20.

Write numbers to 20 and letters often.

Talk and listen to your child.

Read a book every day.

Beach Day is May 22. Please let me know if you would like to help with the festivities. (Please note: All attendees are expected to help!)

FYI

Our last 2 days of school are early dismissal days but all students are expected to be in attendance. Report cards will not be released until the last day of school.

 THANKS!

For always answering notes on time and for responding so quickly and positively to all our requests. You are terrific parents!

If you plan to pick your child up early on early dismissal days, please wait until after our lunch time, 10:20-11:00. It is very difficult to get a child ready to go home while supervising the cafeteria.
